Attorney Shantae D. Clayborn
Attorney Shantae D. Clayborn is a graduate of The Ohio State University (2004) and Capital University Law School (2009). Attorney Clayborn began her legal career as a paralegal in the social security/disability division of Barkan, Neff, Handelman, Meizlish, LLP.
While working full-time as a GED/Life Skills Instructor for Southeast, Inc., Attorney Clayborn attended law school part-time in the evening. As a first year law student, she interned at the Ohio Public Defender’s Office in the Death Penalty Division under the direction of Chief Pam Prude-Smithers. During her second year of law school, Attorney Clayborn was a summer associate at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, LLP and attended law school full-time. Following graduation, Attorney Clayborn practiced in the litigation group at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP in the areas of financial institutions litigation, employment litigation, school law, commercial litigation, wrongful death law, medical malpractice law, class action defense, insurance litigation, workers’ compensation defense, corporate defense litigation. Attorney Clayborn became frustrated by the inability to assist those closest to her with their legal needs and decided to pursue her dream of private practice. Attorney Clayborn is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Florida.
In her spare time, Attorney Clayborn enjoys writing, traveling and spending quality time with her husband and their two children. She also enjoys creating and designing in her nail boutique, Sophisticated Designs.
